I have many things for which to be grateful. Coffee and my Kindle are just a couple of them.
I’ve completely dropped the ball for the last few days with this challenge. There are a variety of reasons.
- The multiple technical difficulties with WordPress frustrated me.
- As I got to the middle of the month I lost a bit of my initial enthusiasm for the project.
- Some of the subjects on the list seemed boring. Or at least my ideas for them were boring and I don’t like posting boring pictures.
- I think the concept of the 30 day challenge may be losing some of it’s impact with me. I generally do it to keep from getting bored but I have a lot going on right now so that isn’t an issue. Plus, I’ve done a lot of them, some with good results, some without. I may be burning myself out on the idea.
But, I want to finish. So, today I’m picking up where I left off. I’ve missed a few days and I’m going to *try* to make up for those by posting two pics on a few days. For today though, only one.
The subject: The last thing I bought…
I went grocery shopping yesterday and bought quite a few things. But I got myself a treat… sugar free chocolates! I have avoided them in the past because I’ve read that the sugar alcohols could still spike my blood glucose. But, I’ve been indulging in chocolates lately and realized that these HAVE to be better for my glucose levels than the Hershey’s kisses my husband keeps in his lunch box. I was right- no significant spikes after having a few pieces of these. I’m sure if I over-indulged it wouldn’t be good but a few seems to be fine. Hurray!
Technical difficulties again yesterday. Do any other WordPress users sometimes have trouble uploading pictures? The progress bar would get to 100% then it would say “Crunching” and freeze there. It was so frustrating! Ah, well. This just means you get two today.
Yesterday’s subject: Flower
I wish I’d had time to be more creative with this shot but it was a busy day yesterday. And since I took pictures of flowers in a beautiful garden Saturday I found it difficult to be inspired with the limited choice of flowers I have right now.
Today’s subject: Something I don’t like
I don’t like doing it. I don’t like the reason I have to do it. I don’t like all the things I have to give up because of it. I do like being healthy though so I continue.
I completely forgot to post yesterday! I took a picture but didn’t upload it to my computer right away and then went to bed early(ish). So, you get two today.
Yesterday’s subject: Something you found
I found these two, snuggled up on the couch. Jace doesn’t really cuddle with us much any more so this completely melted my heart.
Today’s subject: How you’re feeling today.
I had a little trouble with this one. I had a really fun and relaxing daytrip with my family so I’m feeling peaceful and serene this evening. This pic from our visit to Shelter Gardens today seemed to capture that feeling pretty well.
After many frustrating attempts WordPress is finally cooperating so you get yesterday and today’s pic in one post.
Yesterday’s subject was kind of difficult. My wallet is the type that opens flat and I don’t keep much in it. I finally settled on pulling out some of the cards that help me live well on less $$. Discount cards, reward cards and two library cards definitely help me stay on budget without feeling deprived!
And for today’s subject, a few items from my toolbox as I attempt to hold onto my younger self…
Today’s subject was difficult. Initially I had lots of ideas for playing with shadow but they were all for outdoor shots and it turned out to be an overcast day when the subject actually rolled around. I thought about swapping it out and waiting for a sunny day but it seemed like cheating. Part of the challenge is working around things like unexpected weather.
